Underwater Moon - "Wondering"

(dark winter prod, 2003)

This is the second demo of Underwater Moon, one native band that was rapidly evolved. Their new demo could be easily characterized as a full-length release, as it reaches the one hour of total playing. Of course it is consisted of an intro and outro and of two covers. However their creativity should be awarded. Now let’s go to the music section of the band. They perform a kind of heavy/doom metal, with quite peculiar vocals. I can’t say that they are bad (on the contrary I like them a lot), but they sound a little strange to my ears. They have a lot of good ideas, but they must work more on the performing of the songs. Sometimes they sound like they haven’t rehearsed the songs enough. I guess that if they work on this direction and they improve the production state, they will present us even better results. As long as for the two reviews, I have to say that they did a decent cover of the “New Dawn Fades” of Joy Division, but a rather bad one in the case of “Wicked Game” of Chris Isaak.
